José-Enrique Navarro is a doctoral candidate in Hispanic Literature at The University of Texas at Austin. His dissertation analyzes Roberto Bolaño and Enrique Vila-Matas' transnational writing and the impact of globalization and new copyright regulations on literature and the publishing industry. He is also working on a side research project whose purpose is to examine a collection of recent Hispanic fiction works in which media convergence, interactivity and digital immersion are key features. Mr. Navarro is a founding faculty member of the Online Master's Degree in Digital Journalism at the Universidad de Alcalá, in Madrid.
