Uniting over 20 million US college students and 4,000 colleges in an online forum for learning.

Education is not equal. Generally students of color and students from impoverished backgrounds do not have access to the best schools and teachers.  Also, this group is underrepresented and does not perform as well in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

There are over 20 million college students in America and to unite them all and bridge the education gap I propose to develop an online discussion board.  Any student regardless of their background or location can gain access to virtually any classroom.  A discussion board can be created by a student or a professor for their class and the content will be searchable by anyone on the internet acting as a database of knowledge.

Students will be able to exchange notes, get homework answers, schedule study groups, and socialize within their class, within their school, and between schools.  Professors can network with other professors and make any course into an online course by putting their content online.  Schools that already provide opencourse ware, such as MIT, can integrate into the site and use the discussion board to enrichen their content.

Furthermore, there will be a gaming aspect to the site encouraging students to help other students.  In order to access certain features of the site, such as posting a video, a user will have earn points by completing tasks like posting comments to the board.  Students who are highly ranked based on their activity level on the site can then earn their way to “tutor” status allowing them to be recognized as thought leaders in their field and enabling them to sell their services if they wish.  Still, any user will have the ability set up a store front to sell their knowlege as a commodity.

The goal is to increase Interest and apititutde in entrepreneurship and STEM subjects to get students excited to solve each other's problems while preparing them to solve the world's problem.
