IF WE START TO DEVELOP OUR SYSTEM, IT WILL GIVE A GREAT PLATFORM TO EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY OF OUR SOCIETY.

We are the students from all over the world. We think, society gives us a lot of things, but what do we give to our society? We have to do something for the place where we live.

Inspiration: We are M.Sc. students of IIT Kharagpur. We are studying in one of the best institute of India but most of the experimental setups and in instruments are purchased from other country. The picture is almost same for all level and all field of study. Our members are also facing same kind of problem. The instruments or machines used in our daily life are not made by us. We are not self dependent till now.We ask the question to ourselves 'why and why? Is this due to lack of potential or money?' We have decided, whatever the reason is, we must make our own instruments and machines. We should build our society such a way that we will able to manufacture those instruments and machines used in our daily life.

Uniqueness: We have investigated six basic problems of our society- water, food, cloths, health, energy and education. If we involve ourselves to solve only one of those problems then the overall development is not possible. We have to work for as many as problems by applying whatever we have studied. Our solutions are not only easy to make but also cheaper.

Impact: One can question us 'why are you investing so much time and money in this work in spite of the availability of those low cost instruments in the market?' We will say them 'If we start to develop the system it will not only to give a great platform to our society but also to develop our science and technology'. May be those instruments are not so good or sophisticated, but if we give time and money it will be one of the best in future. If those developments can be done by ourselves then we can able to learn science well and it will change our mentality. Since it involves our own people, so we can develop ourselves socially and economically.

FIVE PROJECT QUESTIONS Required (60 - 90 minutes)

1. What is your innovation? 
We want overall development of our society. We are working in several instrumental setup designs to solve basic problem of our society. The ideas are (1) Water filter cum cooler. (2) Production of energy by mechanical work due to personal purpose. (3) Making an energy storing device using battery cell and dynamo. (4) Liquid vaporizer mosquito killer. (5) Design and demonstration of some experimental setups for school children to understand the science and the nature better.
2. Who gains the most? 
The people mainly the villagers of our society will gain the most as our project is designed at low cost and the instrumental parts used in our project are available in the countryside. Since it involves our own people, so they can get a occupation.
3. Who pays? 
We the members of this project as well as the students of IIT Kharagpur will raise a fund for this project. The faculty members of our institute will contribute to raise the fund. Also a national level social organization of our country named “Breakthrough Science Society” has promised to help us.
4. What is your success? 
As we are from Kharagpur which is a countryside area in West Bengal, our primary goal is to make the successful use of our project in the local village area of Kharagpur in the first 12 months. We hope that it wills success locally. After one year we will promote our idea to all over the state through campaigning and advertisements. At the last stage we will try for the industrial use of our project. We hope that we will be supported from Government and private organizations in this respect.
5. How will you do it? 
We will proceed step by step. In the first stage we have visited some slum area near to Kharagpur and have investigated their social needs. Through this survey we have found out some problems. In the next stage we have modeled some setups to solve the society problems. At present we are busy to convince our society about problems and solutions and also we are trying to find out for sponsorship. As our project is going on, we are confident to give permanent solutions of those problems.
