Children living in poverty will build capacity in green technology, learning skills to make them competitive.
Through a partnership with a global NGO and a local university, we will design a pilot program for child laborers who have migrated from the sierras to the urban outskirts of Trujillo, Peru. We will aid the employer with setting up a pilot where the children will attend school half a day, and then spend the other half of the day in the pilot project. The pilot will test the ability for the children to learn skills in green technology and environmental education. These students will be likely to become potential pioneers in Peru's emerging green technology sector.
