Making qualitative education and training affordable for all Nigerian students

Hopefieldnig started as a facebook page providing students in Nigeria supports in scholarship applications, information on international conferences and seminars. The scope of the project has since been expanded as a result of higher demand for regular inforamtion.

In Africa, getting sponsors to attend international conference is like a mirage. We are  working at helping poor but brilliant students with such opportunities to achieve their dreams. This project was recently approved by Alex Budak, Founder of StartSomeGood.com as the first project in Nigeria to be involved in such.

Hopefieldnig is currently run and developed by a network of young Nigerian students. In 2012 alone, Nigerian students have been invited to more than 10 international conferences and forums; One Young World, USA; International Youth Forum, Russia; South American Business Forum, Argentina etc

FIVE PROJECT QUESTIONS Required (60 - 90 minutes)

2. Who gains the most?
The target audience is Nigerian and African students who through the website submit their projects and ideas for sponsorships.
4. What is your success?
In the next few years, we hope to build new graduate with international exposure irrespective of financial background. In few years to come, African students would no longer be stigmatized as third world graduates.
5. How will you do it?
We currently operate a website and a page on facebook where information are easily accessed by students. Once the applications have been made by students and successful, such students notify us by filling the project form. This form would be evaluated and processed for sponsorship from the fund raised. Also, we have network of ambassadors across the country to relate to students. This makes direct impact on the students possible thereby removing geographical constraints.
