Food availability a stepping stone to alleviating poverty in marginalised youth farmers

The escalating rate of poverty the Africa continent for that matter Ghana is an impending issue to maximum realisation of potentials embedded in its human and natural resources. Failure to tap these resources to the fullest benefit had dragged development in Africa behind, hence a burdened on developed countries to achieve global development. This global development issue had drawn many organizations and foundations in develop nations to assist Africans (Ghanaians) at all levels from individual to national level. This is seen as a timely God intervention and had contributed tremendously in education, health, governance, agriculture among others. However, the trickling down of these aids to the most marginalised in society remains an obstacle and need attention. Farming constitute the dominant occupation in Ghana yet the nation is unable to feed its citizenry all year round allowing the phenomenon of annual food shortage to torment it human resources especially those in rural communities.

Therefore, there is the need of appropriate pragmatic interventions at the community level, where the individuals find it difficult to respond to excruciating poverty. This may need a lot of time, resources and patient, but the end results is discovery and innovations of the human resources to the mainstream of National development hence Global development.
