The coffee house where you and I, together, can conserve plant life, curb human hunger and support homeless.

Everyone knows that a lot can happen over a cup of coffee but how many times have you thought that your cup of coffee can save someone’s life or conserve nature????

1.6 billion cups of coffee are drunk worldwide every day. Coffrica wishes to make a difference to 83,600 endangered plant species and 25,000 people dying of hunger and around 100 million homeless people worldwide through peoples love towards coffee.

Imagine!! You are in a coffee shop relishing your cup of coffee, surrounded with exotic plants and orchids, which will not only revive your taste buds but your eyes too. However, to remind you, these shall not be ordinary ornamental plants; these will be the plants which are enlisted as endangered; which require maximum nurture by human beings. Coffrica aims of establishing chain of such coffee shops in United Kingdom. Along with coffee, other kinds of beverages and healthy snacks will be offered. The shop will be unique in its own sense, a perfect place to hang out. In a way this coffee shop will bring the nature alive in the concrete jungle. To add more to our act of benevolence the 70% of profit earned, through the sales of coffee and other items, shall be divided into 3:2:2 ratios, i.e. 30% will go towards providing food to malnutrition people, 20% will go towards plant conservation and another 20% will go towards supporting homeless.

We dream of making world a better place to live with cup of coffee. Join us for this cause to make it a reality because, how can we gulp coffee keeping our brothers hungry and losing wealth of our mother nature?

Still there is lot more to happen over a cup of coffee!!!!!

FIVE PROJECT QUESTIONS Required (60 - 90 minutes)

1. What is your innovation?
Our innovation is ‘CODON’ which stands for ‘COntinuous DONation’ which will be used for supporting organisations working on three causes- environment conservation, reducing starvation and supporting homeless. This will be achieved by starting chain of fair trade coffee shops in UK. In future other ways of generating donations will also be unleashed.
2. Who gains the most?
In the initial stage, three organisations Wild Saurashtra, Booth Centre and World Vision will benefit to carry out their activities. This will result into more greener Saurashtra region of Gujarat, support to homeless people in Greater Manchester and food for malnutrition people in Niger region of Africa. It will also create new jobs for people in Manchester, UK and a new place to hangout for people of Manchester. Fair Trade will support small scale farmers and work men in developing countries.
3. Who pays?
The revenue generated shall be consumer based, as a future idea we shall also sell handicrafts from the aborigines and try to generate revenue from it. We will also accept donations from our customers and affluent people of the community.
4. What is your success?
In the first year we will open our first Coffrica Café at Precinct centre, Manchester. At the end of second-third year, we will be capable to help Wild Saurashtra to register themselves as an independent NGO in India and aid them to create facilities like green house and seed storage. Also we will sponsor 7 days breakfast for homeless at Booth Centre, Manchester. Sponsor at least 500 children through world vision in Niger. At the end of 5th year open two more Café in Liverpool and London.
5. How will you do it?
The first coffee shop will be setup at Precinct Centre Manchester. It will be setup by use of family funds and Manchester Alumni fund. Our mantra after this will be to keep on expanding and keep helping. As we have more shops, more people will be benefited with it and we can make more of difference. The expansion will not be compensated with quality of coffee and customer experience as it will be our competitive advantage.
