Our intent is to provide sanitation at a cost that 7 Billion people in this World can afford.

Clean Life Corps' intent is to provide the World with affordable access to sanitation. Sanitation in the developed world has become an object we take for granted. It was not always so in our country; and remains to be non-existent for nearly 40% of the global population (2.6 BILLION PEOPLE). The implications of this "statistic" are vast and beyond comprehension, but present an opportunity similar to that provided to our very own lineage here in the United States of America.

It was through vast sickness in this country, and nearly all other developed nations, that sanitation became a necessity that spurred the development of the "flush and forget" systems you have become accustomed to in your very home. Back then it was no laughing matter but rather a matter of precedence. We at Clean Life Corps believe that the crisis at hand today is no different. We ask that you look outside your own life; look outside of your own country. Realize that you are just a person like everyone else on this Earth. Think about those "little" things you take for granted, and try to realize just how big they would become if you were forced to do without.

We are proposing a means to address the basic sanitary requirements of the population through making available an affordable sanitary waste management program marketed at the family level, while capitalizing on the collected waste byproducts.  An innovative culmination of inexpensive manufacturing processes for local toilet production, logistical planning, market capitalization, and strategic partnerships enable private sanitation at a cost never before conceivable.

Whether it be your knowledge, your word, or your personal reverence... We at Clean Life Corps ask that you simply support us in this endeavor to provide a means to sanitation, agricultural and economic growth, and energy to those who are not in our position of capability. We consider ourselves in a position of great opportunity, and we hope you may embrace that philosophy as well.

FIVE PROJECT QUESTIONS Required (60 - 90 minutes)

1. What is your innovation?
Innovation is achieved in the design and method of manufacture of a household dry toilet that enables sanitation at a cost never before conceivable. Sustainability and capability for expansion is paramount, and will be maintained through the transformation of waste into energy producing methane and safe compost for use within franchised local farms. High rates of cell phone ownership amongst urban poor (43%) will enable pay-by-phone capability; increasing convenience and decreasing corruption.
2. Who gains the most?
The local populations will gain most through access to any of the systems outputs. Not only will health be significantly improved through decreased contamination of ground and surface water, but the agricultural and energy consuming sectors will be provided with mitigated risk and beneficial new products. All of these benefits are complimented by the generation of new jobs and skilled labor while introducing industrial growth through integrated plastics manufacturing facilities.
3. Who pays?
The initial capital investment for the pilot infrastructure in Borgne, Haiti will be paid for through donor contribution. Recurring costs will be offset by monthly customer service payments ($2-$3USD), and profits earned through agricultural investment and energy & product sales. The Borgne pilot will be marketed as a working template for communities worldwide to invest into the CLC system through established micro-financiers to facilitate expansion.
4. What is your success?
Within twelve months of basic infrastructure development, the Clean Life Corps system is projected reach the point of sustainability, directly impacting around 400 urban families, or roughly 2000 people. It is anticipated that the population of Borgne (80,000 people) will have access to sanitation within 10 years. Success will be measured through both an overall reduction in diarrheal incidents and increase in agricultural yields over the years following CLC's introduction.
5. How will you do it?
Clean Life Corps intent is to collaborate with partner organizations SOL and HOPE to develop the basic infrastructure and manufacture the toilet stock required to effectively manage 400 customers (Families of 5) in the urban center of Borgne; located in Haiti’s Nord Department. The pilot of 400 customers will be maintained and monitored by CLC and her partners until all major operations are effectively managed and deemed robust, enabling expansion.
