How do I create a profile?
Creating a profile is easy! Just Register and complete the required information.
What's the difference between a profile and a project page?
Profiles are for individuals – students, mentors, judges, university partners and anyone else that wants to be part of the DSIC community. Only students may create their own project page and invite others, or join teams to complete other project pages, which are the official entries into DSIC competitions.
What information is public, and what information is private?
You'll see this on the form when you create your profile and project page. You may select to keep certain information private.
Can I delete my profile?
Please contact us at support@dellchallenge.org if you need your profile removed from the site for some reason.
How do I follow a project?
There's a "Follow" button on every project page. Just click it and you'll add it to the list of "projects I'm following," which you can view each time you login to your profile.
How do I invite other members to join my team?
First, make sure that your project is accepting team members by selecting the "Project is accepting team member requests" box on the Edit Profile page. Check that your team members are registered as students on DellChallenge.org. (Only university students are allowed to join project teams.) Next, ask your team members to sign in and visit your project page. There, they'll be able to select the "Join Project" option. Once they've indicated that they would like to join your team, you'll be able to visit your project page and confirm their membership.
How do I comment on a community member's profile or project?
You must register on the DSIC website to comment on profiles or projects.
How do I share a project or profile on social networks?
Just click the Twitter or Facebook buttons on any project or profile!
How do I report users for violating community behavior codes (such as inappropriate comments on my profile)?
Please email support@dellchallenge.org with a detailed description of the incident.
Who should I contact if I experience technical problems with DellChallenge.org?
Please email support@dellchallenge.org with a detailed description of your problem, including information about your web browser, operating system, and time and date of problem
